2023 Student Housing Strategies: Experts Explore a Changing Landscape

In this MHN Voices webinar, industry leaders shared insights into the year ahead—opportunities, challenges and the amenities students really want.

A volatile economy poses challenges for real estate developers and investors across asset classes. While student housing is no exception, institutional enrollment numbers are continuing to rise and the demand for student homes is significantly above supply. In a MHN voices webinar, led by moderator Suzann Silverman, industry experts discussed supply and demand, market opportunities, financing and more.

Student housing performance indicators have typically shown the asset class to be rather flat performance-wise when compared to others, Donna Preiss, president of The Preiss Co., explained during the webinar. Last year, however, the industry saw spectacular rent growth.
