As the #1-ranked multifamily architecture firm in North America, Humphreys & Partners relies on our incredible team from around the world to create innovative, one-of-a-kind communities. Britney Reyna serves as the Controller for our professional services including HPA Design Group, HP Civil Engineering, HP Landscape Architecture and all HPA international offices. She works with teams globally and stays up to date on the latest programs that could improve business. Her role involves guiding financial decisions by establishing and monitoring policies, protecting assets, conducting audits and working closely with the operations team. Britney is continuously collaborating with departments inside and outside of accounting to enhance standards, processes, and maximize return for our company. Britney’s dedication to her work and team are just a few of the reasons why she is our June #HumphreysHero.
Let’s get to know Britney outside (and inside) the office and see what makes her a true icon of #HumphreysHeroes culture:
1. Where is your hometown?
Waco, Texas. I initially lived in a rural area outside of Waco on a farm but later moved to “the city” of Waco. I loved riding horses, feeding our fish and even had a potbelly pig named Wilber. It’s something I look back on very fondly.
2. What is your Alma Mater?
Texas Christian University. I got a degree in Accounting and Finance. You could say I’m a nerd at heart.
3. If you were not doing accounting, what would you be doing?
Not many people would guess but I would love to be a marine biologist. I’m truly fascinated by sharks and have always loved being in the water!
4. What’s the best movie you’ve seen recently?
Bohemian Rhapsody was pretty good, however one that I still haven’t seen and really want to is The Avengers.
5. What are your hobbies when you’re off duty?
I really enjoy what I do but when I’m not working I enjoy snow skiing, hiking, biking and doing anything outside. My favorite spot to hit the slopes is Beaver Creek, Colorado. I also enjoy gardening and recently landscaped my backyard. It was fun to plant flowers for spring and create my new backyard oasis.
6. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I’m not a picky traveler! I’d love to see all of Europe…the architecture, culture and history is captivating.
We hope you have enjoyed getting to know Britney, one of our world-class team members here at HPA! Stay tuned for more #HumphreysHeroes blog posts in the future. In the meantime, engage with us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram for all things HPA-related.
