What is your alma mater?
I graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a master’s degree in Real Estate Development (MRED).
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Beijing, China, and moved to the U.S. after graduating college.
What are your hobbies outside of the office?
Besides trying to balance family and work, I find time to read, paint, sketch, play ping pong, and travel with family.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
I would love to visit villages in Italy and Spain to see their wonderful landmark destinations and experience authentic Italian and Spanish food.
What would be your last meal?
Authentic Peking Duck from legendary restaurant Quan Ju De, my childhood favorite. Sliced pieces of roasted duck with crispy skin and tender meat along with savory dipping sauce, julienned cucumber, and spring onion wrapped with a steamed thin pancake…Yum!
What/who gives you the most joy in life and why?
Watching my son learn and grow is the biggest joy in my life. Being a mom is physically and mentally challenging, but also rewarding at the same time. Pointing out some of the buildings I designed when driving by with my son, and hearing him say “it’s decent”, makes me happy too 😊
What’s your favorite part about working at HPA?
Over 16 years at the HPA California office, I have always enjoyed the friendly working environment, great leadership, and coworkers. It is like a big family.
