As the leading multifamily innovator and architecture firm in North America, Humphreys & Partners relies on our incredible team from around the world to create innovative, one-of-kind communities for clients. As the IT Support Technician in our Dallas office, Stephan Hawkins aids multiple lines of business by answering questions, resolving technical problems and maintaining our company’s network, software and computer equipment. Stephan’s responsibilities keep him constantly collaborating with teammates in the Dallas office and with HPA’s other domestic offices.
Let’s get to know Stephan outside (and inside) the office and see what makes him a true icon of #HumphreysHeroes culture:
- Where is your hometown?
- What is your alma mater?
I have two alma maters! First I received my associates in IT from Southern New Hampshire University. After that I studied at West Governors University (WGU) and received a Bachelor of Science in IT. Currently I am working on my Masters in IT from WGU.
- What is the best movie you’ve seen recently?
If I had to pick a recent movie it would be The Upside!
- What are your hobbies when you’re off duty?
Right now homework and writing for my Masters keeps me really busy but in the downtime I enjoy cooking. I think it would be fun to own a food truck that sells Tex-Mex influenced food!
- If you were not in IT what career would you pursue?
I’d be back in the Military. Though I’ve been out for a while, it’s something that has stuck with me. While serving I enjoyed traveling and getting to experience other cultures. The Army is where I discovered my passion for IT and ultimately what led me to be where I am today.
- If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Seoul, South Korea – When I served in the Army I was stationed in Seoul for a year. The food there was amazing, I’m partial to the Korean BBQ! I also found it a great work environment and saw amazing architecture.
We hope you have enjoyed getting to know Stephan, one of our world-class team members here at HPA! Stay tuned for more #HumphreysHeroes blog posts in the future. In the meantime, engage with us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram for all things HPA-related.
