As the #1-ranked multifamily architecture firm in North America, Humphreys & Partners relies on our incredible team from around the world to create innovative, one-of-a-kind communities in Architecture. As Project Coordinator, Nishad Patwardhan works on a wide range of multifamily, student housing, and mixed-use projects from design development through to construction administration phases. Let’s get to know Nishad outside (and inside) the office and see what makes him a true icon of #HumphreysHeroes culture:

  1. What is your alma mater?

I received my Bachelors in Architecture from the University of Pune, India, and my Masters in Architecture from Arizona State University.

  1. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small town in Western India named Satara. Life was very different there–it’s a quiet place surrounded by mountain ranges and lush green landscapes.

  1. What are your hobbies outside of the office?

I love road biking with friends and also with HPA colleagues. I like to go out hiking as well whenever I get the chance.

  1. Where is the best place you have traveled to?

I have been on six high altitude expeditions in the Himalayas and Mount Everest base camp was the toughest but most enjoyable travel experiences. I would love to go back there one day when the time permits.

  1. What inspired you to become an architect?

I have always been fond of 3-dimensional forms since childhood. I think sketch-up was one of the first computer programs which I got introduced to even before I got into architecture school. I loved exploring and playing with it.

  1. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Maybe time travel or teleportation.

  1. What is your favorite thing about working at HPA?

Colleagues, mentors, and supervisors at HPA will help you by going above and beyond the conventional ways if you work hard enough and have a will to learn new things.

We hope you have enjoyed getting to know Nishad, one of our world-class team members here at HPA! Stay tuned for more #HumphreysHeroes blog posts in the future. In the meantime, engage with us on FacebookTwitterLinkedIn and Instagram for all things HPA-related.
