Infill Development Promises Multiple Living Options in St. Louis’ Historic ‘The Hill’ Neighborhood

Nestled into the century-old Italian American fabric of The Hill neighborhood in St. Louis are two tandem infill developments, set to wrap in June, offering opportunities to live in a historic area of the city that took root in the 1850s.
Under the direction of owner and developer Draper and Kramer, Holland Construction Services is completing the construction of a 225-unit multifamily structure called Moda at The Hill while McBride Homes has finished building a neighborhood of 58 single-family homes known as La Collina (Italian for “the hill”.) Both projects are situated on an 11-acre, mater-planned site that long ago housed a large manufacturing plant. The site is located just south of Interstate 44 and west of Kingshighway Boulevard.
